Hospitals across several sectors have noted a steady rise in diagnoses, with the highest concentration among children and adolescents.

Council representatives described the trend as a “wake-up call” for the Union. While advancements in physical health have drastically reduced mortality and disease across the last century, officials now acknowledge that mental health requires equal attention and resources.

In response, the Departments of Health and Education have outlined the framework of a cooperative initiative designed to strengthen prevention, accessibility, and early support for mental well-being:

• Integration of Mental Health Education: Age-appropriate lessons on emotional awareness, resilience, and coping strategies will be introduced across Union-standard curriculums.
• Expanded Access to Counseling: Schools and academies will be staffed with certified mental health specialists, ensuring that help is available where young citizens spend most of their time.
• Proactive Health Screenings: Annual checkups, already standard practice for physical health, will be expanded to include mental wellness evaluations.

Officials stress that this is only the beginning of a wider effort. Funding and research will be allocated immediately, with further measures announced in the coming cycles.
